Welcome to Your Medical Home

Welcome to South Royalton Health Center.  If you're looking for accessible pediatric care, a child–friendly environment, and a responsive team of pediatricians in the Upper Valley/Central Vermont, then look no further. A medical home is defined as patient-centered, comprehensive, team-based, coordinated, accessible, and focused on quality and safety, and thats us! We love kids, and our goal is to have a positive impact in the lives of children by providing exceptional health care and compassionate service to the families we serve.

At South Royalton Health Center, we offer a full range of pediatric care including prenatal visits for expecting parents, well–child check–ups, immunizations, sick appointments, mental health and women's health care. Our caring team is committed to providing quality service in a comfortable, safe office setting where children and parents can feel at ease. We also set aside time to equip parents with the tools and resources necessary for the development of healthy children from birth to adolescence. We  have a dedicated nurse care manager to help patients and families with special health care needs in cooridanting their specialty care and community resources to achieve the best quality of life possible.

We invite you to take a few moments to browse our website and familiarize yourself with our practice. We hope that it will serve as a valuable resource for you. You'll find all of the helpful information you need about our practice including provider bios, service details, directions to our South Royalton office and a link to our Patient Portal.

We are excited to offer our Patient Portal where you can communicate securely with our providers, update your health information, print out vaccine records, request appointments and check on future appointments. Meet Our Providers

  • Ashley Miller
    MD, FAAP

Dr. Ashley was born and raised in southern New Hampshire, left briefly for college, returned to the Upper Valley for medical school at Dartmouth and never left. She was lucky to spend time with Dr. Becky during training and was very excited to join her practice in 2014. Dr. Ashley can be found both in the office at SRHC and in the school-based clinics. She has a special interest in adolescent medicine and mental health but truly enjoys following families from birth to graduation. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, actively involved at the state and national levels. When not seeing patients you can find Dr. Ashley competing at local horse trials (triathlons on horseback), hiking or snowshoeing in the surrounding mountains, and swimming in the local rivers with her dogs.

  • Ellen Gnaedinger

Ellen has lived in Vermont for more than 30 years.  She has worked in pediatrics throughout her nursing career, initially on the in-patient unit at Dartmouth Hitchcock while teaching pediatrics for Colby Sawyer and more recently in school nursing and with the school clinics. She completed her doctor of nursing practice/family nurse practitioner degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2017 and finished a year-long residency at the VA in White River Junction in 2018 before coming to join us at SRHC. Ellen will also be seeing patients at the school clinics through HealthHub. When not at the SRHC Ellen enjoys downhill skiing, reading, gardening, and hiking.

  • Kim Therrien

Kim is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has 25+ years of experience working with children and families. Kim grew up in the Upper Valley and still lives here with her family. Kim utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches in her clinical work including, Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, The Helping the Non-Compliant Child Curriculum, and Attachment Theory. Kim sees patients at SRHC and at the local schools.

  • Sam McWilliams
    MD, FAAP (on leave)

Dr. Sam, a former patient of Dr. Becky's at the South Royalton Health Center, grew up in South Strafford Vermont and attended the Newton School. Dr. Sam went to medical school at Albany Medical College, concentrating on rural medicine at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY. After medical school, he returned to the Upper Valley and completed a Pediatric Residency at the CHAD before joining Dr. Becky and Dr. Ashley in 2015. Unfortunately, due to loan constraints, Dr. Sam had to take a leave of absence from the practice in 2018 but looks forward to returning as soon as his loans are paid off!

  • Rebecca Foulk
    MD, FAAP (retired)

Dr. Becky retired from clinical practice in the fall of 2018 after providing pediatric care in South Royalton for at least 3 generations of families.  She will miss her patients dearly, but can still be found around the Upper Valley volunteering with High Horses and Health Hub, gardening, and playing tennis.

  • Frank Lamson
    CPNP (retired)

Frank was a fixture in our local schools and we were sorry to see him retire at the end of the 2015-2016 school year, but wish him all the best out hiking the AT, Long Trail, and wherever else his boots might take him!

  • "Everyone here cares about my kids, knows how to connect with them, and answers hundreds of questions for me. It is the sweetest small practice, and we love Dr Ashley and Sabra!"
